The Craft's Meow August Preview: Tandem

Hey there! Today is the final preview at The Craft's Meow! Today we are previewing Tandem!


I got a little lazy and decided not to color my image. LOL I stamped the bicycle and the sentiment directly onto the card base. I then added two rolls of grass using my grass border punch. I kind of like how it came out!

For my card, I made another Birthday card! LOL You can never have too many of them! hehe I distressed this card with Tim Holtz ink. I used a few of my handmade embellies...crochet flower, seam binding ribbon and stickpin.

The Greeting Farm August Preview: OA Surprise!

Surprise, surprise!! Today we are previewing OA Surprise set at The Greeting Farm!

What EXPLOSION I have to share? Well, an explosion purse! I found this tutorial a while back and attempted to make some samples...just never got a chance to finish them. LOL I got one done today as you can see! LOL

I used Amelia for this purse. I even used her to make this patterned paper! I simply randomly stamped her all over the cardstock.

I even make a mini card to match this purse! I actually stamped Amelia on white cardstock and shrank her to 50%. I used the copier by the way since my scanner is still no hooked up yet. Yeah, I know it has been months already. LOL




Here is how it looks once you open the purse. It's big enough to hold a few goodies.

Inside the purse, I made two pockets, one for the mini card and another one for a gift card.

So what do you think? This make a wonderful birthday present, don't you think? hehe

For My July Secret Sister...

Hello! Hope everyone had a fantastic weekend!

Today, I am sharing this matchbox four-drawer chest with matching card using Blush Bonnie and the sentiment from Blush Babette. This set is for my July Secret Sister. If you don't know what SSS is, please visit Kris' blog for more info! As a matter of fact, Kris is accepting August sigh ups right now!

This chest is very simple to make. I simply made four match boxes and stacked them together! This chest measures 4x3x3.



For this card, I followed the sketch at Descontructed Sketch.

Birthday Card for Someone Special

I tend to make more Birthday card than anything others. Everyone (well, almost everyone) celebrates his/her birthday, right?

I made this card for a friend whose birthday is in a few days. I used Blush Bobette on this card. Papers are by K&Company.

A Simple Hi

Hello!

It has been a super busy week for me. I have been busy working on CHA cards and totally did not get a chance to share this card! Well, that plus I am coming down with a cold....caused from lack of sleep, rest, I am sure. I am going to rest up tonight...no crafting. Hopefully, the cold goes away by the weekend.

Here is a card I created earlier this week using TGF's recently released Piper. This picture came out kind of dark because I totally didn't realize my flash was not ready at the time. I know, most of you guys don't use flash when taking your pics but I have to! I take all my pictures at night, like 11:00pm so a flash is a must!

Sparkle Creations Challenge #51: Christmas In July

I love this week's challenge at Sparkle Creations! What's the challenge, you ask? Christmas in July! This challenge is perfect to get everyone started with Christmas cards! Christmas is not that far away!

I used Holiday Emily on my card. I decided to go with the traditional green and red colors since I bought two packs of these Making Memories papers a while back. Yup, you will be seeing a lot more of traditional Christmas color cards.

Thinking of You

Hey there! Hope everyone is enjoying the weekend!

We took our kids to see the movies for the first time...their first time.... My son liked it but my daughter fell asleep after about half an hour. It was nap time for her at the time. LOL We trained her to nap around the same time each day.

Thank you all so much for the wonderful comments on my little backpack! Some of you guys wanted to know the dimensions, the papers I used and links to the template. You can use the template at splitcoaststampers.com. This is a mini backpack. I used the concept from this template and made a larger one, 5x7x2 inches. I will try to come up with my template soon and hope to share it with you guys. Gotta warn you guys though..hehe..BE PATIENT! I procrastinate! LOL Well, the other reason is I have a million and one things on my to do list. It might be a long while before I get to share this template!

The papers I used for the backpack is by Me and My Big Idea. I got the stack (school themed) at one of the scrapbook shows earlier this year.

Anyhoo....on to my card... I thought I'd play along this week's challenge at All That Scraps since it's an easy one, ANYTHING GOES! I used the recently released Blush Bonnie from The Greeting Farm. I LOVE this new collection!

Not sure if anyone notice some of my cards lately but I did some paper piercing...using a tracing wheel. I LOVE this thing! I can paper pierce in like 10 seconds!

Hmmm...you can't tell much from this picture but I used the Blush Hello background stamp behind this girly. Crochet flower is handmade by me.


Alrighty my friends. Gotta go back to my crafting. I want to take advantage of the time while my kids are in bed.

For my project today, I have this cute backpack/card combo to share! I've seen lots of these cute backpacks in blogland and have always wanted to try to make one myself. Well, I did as you can see. hehe I searched the web for the template and all the ones I found were mini's. Mini's are cute but they don't hold much stuff. What to do? Well, following the mini backpack template, I enlarged this 5x7x2. It's big enough to hold this card, a couple snack size cookies/candies and so forth. The little pocket can hold a gift card.

For the card, I used the new released Backpack Oliver. This set is perfect for the beginning of the school year as well as the end.

I have this Making Memories Spring paper since forever and finally got a chance to use it! I am totally in the mood for Spring/Summer colors! Well, it is Summer right now! LOL

I colored Lucy with Copic and added stickle to the flowers. Oh and I am on a roll with sewing! hehe Button stickpins are made by none other than me! LOL I have some at my Etsy shop.
