Sketch Time at Meljen's Designs!

Who is ready to follow a good sketch? Raise your hand if you do! Me, me!! LOL My fellow DT mate, Lauretta at Meljen’s Designs has an awesome sketch for everyone to follow for this week’s challenge.

Okay, who loves chocolate? Chocolate cake? Chocolate muffin? Mmmm….yummy! I used to never eat chocolate cake until after I have my babies. Now, every once in a while, I crave for triple chocolate cake! Weird! Anyway, I better stay away from all that. I've already put on a few extra pounds since I had my kids. Okay, enough of that! Hehe Check out this yummy Chocolate Treat on my card! This is one of the new images released this week! You can get them at Whimsy Stamps!

I haven’t paper pieced in like forever and I was in the mood to cut and paste. So…what do you think?

Sadly, this is my last post for Meljen's Designs. My four month term is coming to an end. :( I decided to step down after my term because I have other obligations.

If you have been following my blog, you should have seen a few posts about Lollipop Crafts. Well, I am one of the owner! Kris and I thought it would be cool to start up a new challenge blog so we did! Our first challenge will debut on August 2nd and guess who is sponsoring??? Yup, Meljen's Designs!!! Thank you so much, Melissa and Nicole!

I have a few things I am working on right now so I better get back to them before it gets late. Thanks so very much for stopping by, my friends!

Let's Shake It!

Happy Wednesday! It’s time for another La La Weekly Wednesday Challenge! Our Challenge Coordinator, Maureen is our hostess this week and she chooses SHAKER CARD as the theme! Shaker cards are so fun to make and receive! If you have never made one before, now is the time! There are lots of tutorials out there and they are super easy to make!

Maureen used Princess Lala on her card which means, she is 20% off the regular price! You can grab her at our online store along with the other cuties! We carry both digi and Rubbers. Plus, the rubbers come mounted or unmounted.

I used Down the Slopes Rosie on my card. Yay! I made another Christmas card! Hehe I colored her with Copic and added sparkly fluff on her hat. I wanted to add some polar white Flower Soft for snow but my foam tape is not thick enough so I used white mini beads instead. Thanks, Kris, for the beads! They sure come in handy! I have practically all the colors but white! Can you believe it? Anyway, I wonder if there is ultra fine Flower Soft. I have seen other colors but not white.

Once again, I kept this card pretty simple. The shaker is pretty bulky already so I didn’t want to add too many layers.

Alrighty, my friends, now that you have seen my simple shaker card, hop over to La La Land Crafts and check out my teammates' AMAZING creations!

Have an awesome day, everyone! Thank you so berry berry much for stopping by!

Totally Cool Dude!

Hello!

I don't make guy cards too often so I had a hard time making this one! Coloring Christian was no biggie but trying to put a guy card together was hard! I mean, I a a very girly girl so most of my cards got flowers, ribbons or blings. I didn't really want to add those for a male card! Plus, I am so suck at coming up with good sentiments!

I finally settled with this simple card as you can see. I didn't add too much stuff on it. Guys like simple stuff, right?

Anyway, have you heard? Simply Betty is having a MEGA sale right now! Well, most parents are busy busy busy with back to school shopping for the kids so we at Simply Betty is having a sale just for the PARENTS...okay, MOMS! LOL Here are what's on sale:

Hope This Brightens Your Day!

Happy Happy Sunday!

Here is a card I made last night using one of Meljen's Designs' cool images. This Sunflower's Friend is a newbie, just released last week and is available at Whimsy Stamps. This week's challenge is to make an easel card so if you have time, we would love for you to play along!

I followed the sketch over at Friday Sketchers. Ever since Jane introduced me to the white on white card, I am in LOVE with this new technique! It's so clean, crisp, elegant! So with this card, that was what I did except I inked up the edges with yellow.
Well, my friends, I do hope my card brightens your day! Yellow is such a happy color! Oh, I was able to do my five DT cards last night! Yay!
Enjoy the rest of the weekend, everyone! Thanks for stopping by!

Friends

Hey!

It has been a while since I played with my Belles 'n Whistles stamps. I colored this image, Sisters a while back and so a couple of days ago, I finally made a card with it! Well, this week's challenge (distressing) inspired and motivated me to get this card done!

This is another easel card with pocket. You can see my first one HERE. I like adding a little pocket since a regular easel card really doesn't have space to write.

Well, I tried to work on my cards earlier today but my mojo seemed to be missing. Anyway, I am going to try to work on them again.

Hope everyone is enjoying this lovely weekend!

Charlotte With a Rose

Hello, hello!!

I am so glad weekend is here! Woohoo! My goal for the weekend is to finish at least five DT cards. Hopefully my kiddies will behave so I can work on some other stuff as well.

This is another one of Sparkle's adorable whimsical images, Charlotte with a Rose. She remind me so much of Laura and Mary in Little House on the Prairie. I used to watch that show a lot!

This week is a sketch, very fun, easy to follow! Who does love a good sketch, right?

Well, I am going to work on one of the cards before I go to bed tonight. I shall be back tomorrow with another creation! Yup, more to share! Can you believe it? I am on a roll! hehe

Dolly

I made this card last week following Mercy's sketch but didn't post it before the closing date. Does this sound like some of you? LOL

I used Meljen's Designs' Dolly on this card. Melissa creates so many adorable images every week! I wish I have more time so I can play with all of them! Hmm....should I be thinking of early retirement? LOL For goodness sake! I have thirty something more years before I reach retirement age! Wishful thinking....

The nect couple of weeks will be real hectic for me. Work is manageable since I have an assistant these days. It's my crafty life! I have three blog hops going on the first week of August! Yikes! I better start cracking those creations!

By the way, there is still time to enter for some sweets at Lollipop Crafts! But hurry! Time is running out!

Simply Betty

Hey, gang!

Just want to share this card with you all! I made this one a while back but haven't gotten around to post it. This is Betty. She is available in both rubber and digi.

There is still time to play along this month's sketch challenge! Check out our blog for details!

I am so not good with writing up posts I tell you! I have about four more save as draft that need to be post! well, one is my OCS card and I don't want to post it until after I put it in the mail. I have that ready for almost two weeks but keep putting it off to go to the post office!

LLWWC#48 - Upcycle It!

Hello! It's time for our La La Weekly Wednesday Challenge! Cheryl is our hostess this week and she chose UPCYCLE IT as the theme. If there are anything you plan to put in the trash, don't! These might be some good stuff for your creation! Basically, you turn something you don't need, something ordinary into something unique for your project. It's recycle in other word! LOL

Cheryl used Fairy Lala on her card so she is 20% off this week! Check her out at our online store!

My creativities haven't been good to me lately. I couldn't come up with anything cool! :( Anyway, I had this tag from one of my Forever 21 top on my dresser for the longest and seriously, I need to clean my room! But a light bulb went on! This tag would look pretty cool on my LLLC card! So....

This is what I did with it! I had Sitting Pretty Rosie sitting on it! LOL Once again, I am using scraps on this card. Seriously, I am so sick of my big pile of scraps! What do you guys do with your scraps?

I followed the sketch of at The Sweet Stop. Well, the sketch with a spin, which is to include a tag somewhere. I got that! LOL

I colored Rosie with Copic. I used my white gel pen and added some dots on her dress.

Okie dokie, my friends. Hope you all can find some time and play along with us! For more inspiration, please check out my awesome teammates' stunning creations! Have a blessed day, everyone!

Busy Monday!

Ops, I didn't even realize it's pass midnight already! Yeah, yesterday was a busy day for me. I was gone from dawn to dusk! Family time...took the kids out and about, just having fun! Odd, but it seems like I am missing out a lot from not been on the net for a day! Hmmm... I still have a lot to catch up. I have hundreds of unread posts on my Reader. Yikes!

Anyway, I was suppose to work on a couple of DT cards but look what I ended up with instead? Man, I always get so side-tracked!

I followed the sketch over at The Wild Flower Patch. I colored Tilda with Copic and I added stickle to her apron. Hmm...is that an apron or part of her top? Sentiment is by Hero Arts and papers are by Core'dinations and DCWV. I am also entering this card for Magnolia Down Under as their theme is to create a card/project with any season.

Well, gang, I need my beauty sleep! Thanks for keeping me company!

Pocketful of Thanks!

Happy Sunday, my friends!

I saw this awesome pocket card tutorial on Ladybug and Friends' blog the other and so I just had to give it a try! I actaully just CASE'd the card because I love it so much! LOL Here is what I came up with! I made this card with someone in mind. I don't want to reveal the name because I haven't sent it to her yet. plus, I know she's reading this. LOL

TGF's Twinkly Tots line is one of my all time favorite line! This is Madelynn! She is just too darling! I never get tired of coloring her! I colored her with Copic and distressed it with Colorbox chalk ink. I used all scraps on this card so the papers are not really matching. But it works, don't you think? LOL

Anyway, busy, busy, busy! Thank you all for stopping by!

Challenges:
Tamiko's: Flower
The Pink Elephant: Pocketful of Sunshine
Crazy 4 challenges: Buttons
KLSN: Ribbon

Thinking of You

Hello! I am baaack! hehe

Here is the card I promised to share! This is my very first time used only black...and white it you count the card base. This week, All That Scraps is all about monochrome. Plus, Color me Copic is to use black and white....so here was what I came up with!

I used Darby and Chenille on this card. This Darby came with Bubble but I thought Chenille is more suitable here.

I thought I was able to work on some jewelry earlier but nope! I guess I'll try again tomorrow. My son drank tea this morning and he didn't want to take a nap earlier so I didn't get to craft! I did manage to clean my desk a little. It's a little bit neater now. Let's see how long this last! Ha!

Summer Is Here

Yes, summer is definitely here! Since last week, it has been hot, hot, hot!

I am so in love with Sparkle's new stamps! I ordered a few and they came a couple of days ago. Super fast shipping! Thanks, Sparkle! If you haven't ordered your stamps yet, you have got to! The quality is EXCELLENT! Plus, they are super duper cute!

Cocktail Emily is my fave so I just have to play with her first! LOL This card is for Sparkle's first Challenge, a summer theme card/project. This image was too fun to color! I started coloring another one already! hehe Sentiment is from a summer themed patterned paper.

Here are the challenges I am entering this card for:
Allsort: Summer days
Incy Wincy: Distress It
Simon Says Stamps: Let's get Fruity!
Stampavie and More: Anything Goes

I haven't been working on my jewelry so I'll see if I can find some time to make a piece or two this weekend. I miss making them!

Thanks for stopping by today! Please come back later tonight because I have another card to share!

Chicken Soup Anyone?

Hello!

I haven't been in much a mood to craft these last couple of weeks. It must be the heat! It has been pretty hot here in LA. Since my little craft space is in the attic, can you imagine how hot it is??!! I wonder if my stamps would get messed up up here....

I haven't play the challenges over at Whiff of Joy in a long while so I looked through my box of stamped images and found this girly, Willow's Hot Chicken Soup. Well, I sure don't want any right now! I am sweating as I type!

Anyway, I want to finish a card for tomorrow before I go to bed so later! Thank you much for visiting!

Tall Card

Hey!

This week we have a fun challenge at Meljen’s Designs. It is to make a legal size card…one of those tall cards! I don’t make tall cards too often but they are fun, cool to make. Plus, it’s always nice to make something different.

I used Mouse With Pencil on this card. I followed the sketch over at Sweet Sunday Sketch. Can you tell I am still in that “black and white mode”? LOL Well, I didn’t want to look thought my big stack of papers to find the “right” paper. Black and white goes with EVERYTHING!

Alrighty, friends. Hope you all can find some time to play along with us! For more inspirations, please hop over to our BLOG! Thank you much!

La La Land Crafts Challenge #47

Morning, morning!!!

Our challenge at La La Land Crafts is being hosted by our very talented 1Luvnmama! Your mission: create a papercrafted item with BLACK, WHITE and ONE OTHER COLOR. I LOVE this kind of theme! Hehe

I used Fairy Rosie on my card. I usually use pink but I decided to use blue this time. When I ws making this card, I have that white on white challenge we had previously on my mind. So instead of all white, I have black and white. :D

I colored cute little Rosie with Copics of course. I add sparkly glitter on her wings. I like adding glitter to my creations but loose glitter is so messy! Sketch is from The Sweet Stop. I love their sketches!

This week’s featured stamp is Bubble Lala. She is 20% of the regular price! You can grab her at our online store along with the rest of the adorable images!

Did anyone notice that Copic Certified badge I have on my sidebar? :D I took the Copic Certification Class this pass weekend. Yup, I am now Copic certified! Yay!

I enjoyed the class very much. The instructor was very nice and fun. This is pretty much a refresher class if you have been coloring with Copics for some times already. It was for me anyway. I did however learn a few new techniques and tricks. I totally recommend this class if you haven’t taken it before.

Anyway, that’s all for now. Please be sure to stop by La La Land Crafts to check out my teammates’ wonderful creations!

First Hanglar Card

Looky what I got here!!! A Hanglar card!!! I have been drooling on everyone's Hanglar creations and I have been trying to get a hold of these stamps! No, I don't own any yet. :( But while I keep looking, Cami was nice enough to send me a few stamped images to play with! Thanks so much, Cami!

I colored this girly with Copics and followed the sketch over at 2 Sketches 4 U. Awesome little sketch! Me likey! hehe

I must admit, I LOVE this card! hehe I guess I am currently in love with these cuties?? The only thing I am not so happy about this card is I messy up her top. :( I accidentally got ink on it when I was inking up the edge. Sad, sad, sad...

Anyway, I have a couple of more post this week. I would love to have everyone back soon to check them out! Thanks a bunch!!

Teacup Poodle

Have you seen something so adorable? I LOVE this teacup poodle! This is one of many of Meljen's Designs image!

I followed the sketch over at Papertake Weekly. I made this card for a friend's birthday so it will be in the mail next week. :)

Are you a paper addict? I know I am! I can't believe over the last year or so, I have accumulated such a big pile! A real big pile, seriously! Because I don't have a lot of space, I actually don't even know what I have! Yup, it's that bad!

These pretty papers I used on this card is by Basic Grey. I totally forgot I have them! Terrible!

Anyway, it's just me and the kids at home so I better go check on them before they tear down the house! LOL I'll be back soon with more creations!
