All That Scraps Challenge

Hi All! Hope everyone enjoyed the day off and spent it well with friends and family! I bet most of your guys BBQ...hehe

I meant to post this card earlier today but didn't get a chance because I was at my mom's most of the day celebrating my niece's 9th birthday. It was a full house! I think there was well over 20 kids, from ages 1 1/2 years older to 12 years old! It was pretty chaotic with all the kids running around! I am beat now!

I made this card for the current challenge at All That Scraps. I can't even remember when was the last time I played along their challenges. I always have good intention to but each week passes by so quickly! I would have the image all colored up and ready to go but then a new challenge is up!

This week is a fun sketch. You should see card in person! It's loaded with layers! I can't remember when was the last time I layered this much! I am happy with the result though.

Anyway, I better wrap up because tomorrow us another 10 hours at work and 2 hours commute! Yikes! Have a good one, everyone!

Something Different...

I decided to try something different on my card. See the front side edges and back edges? Yup, I only punched the front edges! It's pretty neat!

I made some ribbon flowers a long while back but misplaced them. Well, I finally found them! See the two roses on my card? I made them with ribbons! I think I am going to make some more. This is a great way to use up some leftover ribbons! Hmmm....I am on a roll with making my own flowers! LOL

It takes quite a bit of time to link up a creation for different challenges. I used to love to combine challenges but over time, I got kind of tired of that because it was too time consuming. I still combine challenges but I really haven't been combining a whole lot. Anyway, for this card, I am going to link up just a few...

So Thankful...

This is my 3rd post for tonight! Wow, I actually have more than one post in one day! I haven't done this in a looong while!

I have a few thank you cards to make and send out. This is the first one so far. I always wait until the very last minute.....really bad habit.

Lately, I am into making flowers....paper flowers, crocheted flowers, and now felt flowers! I guess I love everything handmade. LOL Oh speaking of crocheted flowers, I still need to take a pic of my flowers and show you guys! I'll try to do a little tutorial on how to make them too so stay tuned!

I think I'll call it a night tonight. I am so tired! Hopefully, I get to craft a little tomorrow and have something to share. Ciao!

Somewhat Organized Now!

Yup, I can honestly say I am somewhat organized now with some of my craft goodies. Here are a few pics of them! I have very limited crafting space so I had to find ways to really utilize what I have!

I finally trimmed most of my TGF stamps and put them on a large binder. So far this has been working for me just fine! It is kind of heavy though. I simply used one of those cheap 2-inch 3-ring binders along with those stamp and stick storage panels from 7kids College Fund.

Because La La Land Crafts stamps and inky Impressions stamps are all somewhat the same size, I have them in my drawer, all lined up!

This is my sticker collection! yeah, I know, I am crazy! I am addicted to stickers! I don't use them a lot but I do get them almost every time I go to Michaels!

This is actually a towel holder. I had my hubby "fixed" this up for me so I can hang them....yup, it turns! I got the clips from Joanns.
These are some of my flowers. I think this is a spice rack because I got it from the kitchen section....can't even remember the name of the store now. I got this a looooooong time ago! I knew I could use this thing one of these days. hehe That's why I save and keep EVERYTHING! LOL

These are my loose ribbons. This is like that ribbon ring. I got a large book ring from Office Depot, made tabs using poster papers and the Stampin' Up word window punch, threaded the ribbons onto each tab, and then slide them onto the ring. You can use clear plastic for the tab for more sturdiness but to me, it's not necessary. This cost me about I'll say $1 to make it. It just takes a little time. Oh, you can organize your ribbons by colors if you want but since I don't have a lot of loose ribbons, any way is fine.

The spool ribbons, I hang them against my wall, behind my chair. You know, kind of like how you hang your curtains, except, I hand my ribbons using a very small stick.

This is how I store my nesties now. I got this binder from All That Scraps, sticky magnets from Joann's and voila! You will be surprised at how many sets of nesties you can store in one binder! I think I have about 18 sets here!

I also used the binder for my Hero Arts clear stamps, the sets. Love this! For my $1 clear stamps, i have them in CD holders.

I am still working on my craft space. I couldn't believe over the past year, I have accumulated so much stuff! I just wish I have more space....
Well, that's all for now. I do hope you enjoy my little ideas for getting more organized. By all means, if you have a better way of storing your craft goodies, please do share!

Li'l Miss Poppy

I bet you can't guess how long I've colored this cute image! I think it has been over a few months! I am so glad Belles n' Whistles is having their first challenge; otherwise, this colored image would continue to sit in my box of colored images. Yup, I have lots of images already colored up. I color whenever I can. Mama asked me if I ever sit still for a moment...nope! I am a busy body. I can't sit still! I am constantly doing one thing of another. Even when I sleep, my mind is still at work! I dream a lot! LOL

Anyway, Belle's n' Whistle's first challenge is to add a handmade flower to the card/project. I made a bunch of these flowers with my Dahlia nesties a back in March, I think. I still have a few left so I just grab one to go along with Li'l Miss Poppy. This card really took me no time since everything was pretty much done.

Well, that's all for now. I haven't forgotten to post my mini giveaway winner. I will do that by this weekend.

A Tilda Christmas Card

It just darn on me that I haven’t been keeping up with making Christmas cards….and scrapbook pages. I bet you anything, come Christmas, I am going to be rushing with my cards ….AGAIN!

Well, here is another one added to the few I have so far. I decided to follow the sketch over at Oh Alice!. It’s an interesting sketch. I was kind of struggling with this one…and still don’t like how this card turned out. It’s like, something is not right about it but can’t quite seem to figure out what. Hmmm…whatever…it’s done. Hehe

Oh boy, it's getting late. I better wrap it up. Got to wake up in a few hours for work. Can't wait for the weekend!

Thanks for stopping by, everyone!

Nestabilities Shaped Card

Where does the time go? It's already Wednesday! You know the drill then, my friends! Yup, it's time for our La La Weekly Wednesday Challenge! 1Luvnmama is our hostess this week. Oh, did you guys know, 1Luvnmama is now a full time DT at La La Land Crafts! Congrats to you again, Mama! You go girl!

Mama is challenging everyont to use nestabilities, NESTABILITIES SHAPED CARD. In other words, your card needs to be the shape of the nesties you use. Awesome challenge, Mama!

I used my scallop square for the base of my card. If you look closely, you will notice I used four different nesties on my card. I was going to use a fifth one for my flower but I didn't want to over-do it. hehe Instead, I used one of my crocheted flowers. Oh, did I tell you guys, I have been crocheting mini flowers while watching TV. Hard to believe with my busy schedule but yes, it's true, I watch TV and no, not when I craft. When I craft, I only have my PC on, no TV, no music because I usually craft at night and I don't want to wake up my family. I usually watch an hour of TV with my kiddies after dinner each night. I will show a pic of all the flowers I made (and making) soon. :D

I used Sitting Pretty Rosie and paired her with this awesome freebie sentiment from Ann Vento on this card. Ann has a challenge blog "Sentiment Sunday" and she offers freebies quite often. This week's theme is to make a GET WELL card so her freebies from last week was perfect. Ann makes beautiful creations as well. Check out her blog! You won't be disappointed!

This week's featured stamp is LALA with BUNNY and she is 20% of the regular price! You can get her along with our other adorable stamps at our online store! Don't forget, one participant will get a $10 credit to a La La Land Crafts purchase!

Sorry for the long post. I guess I am feeling a little talkative at the moment. hehe If you have been following me, you know I don't talk much. Anyway, for more inspiration, please check our our BLOG. Happy Wednesday, everyone! Have a great day!

Mini Giveaway!

Happy Monday! Hope everyone had a great weekend!

I was a little productive this last weekend. I finished all my DT creations plus a few other projects. This set I made for Farm Fresh Friday at The Greeting Farm and for Roses on Papers' challenge, a gift.

One of the best things about the blogging community is that we get to meet so many wonderful friends! We are all here enjoying what we love to do. We are here to encourage and support each other. Blogging is great!

I haven’t had a candy in a long time. So I am having a little giveaway! Also, I love the idea of a secret candy. I think quite a few bloggers are doing this now. Every once in a while, I will have secret candy, random drawing from previous posts. I won’t be telling you guys when because the secret candy is only for my loyal visitors. You know, just a little something for my friends for hanging out with me, for putting up with my ramblings and stuff. :D

What am I giving away, you ask? Well, this set of course! I am giving this bag/card set away! The bag is not empty by the way. hehe I stuffed it with a bunch of stamps. Leave me a comment on this post and I will randomly draw a winner. I will post the winner sometime this week.

Thanks a bunch for stopping by! Enjoy your day, everyone!

OCS, RAK....

Hello, my fabulous blogging friends!

Okay, so I finally have a chance to post my goodies I received in the mail. It’s always so nice to receive happy mail, especially after a long stressful day at work!

These are my OCS card from Liann for March. Yup, Liann sent me two! Thank you so much, Liann! I love them! I have my eyes on the Pure Innocence images lately. I don't have any yet though so hopefully one day.

This is from Janis, April OCS. Love this cute card, in one of my fave color too! Thanks a bunch, Janis!

This is my May OCS card from Enjoli! I haven't made something like this before so when I was like "wow" when I first saw it! Totally love it, Enjoli! I'll have to try my hands on this one day. Thanks so much for the pretty card and for the inspiration!

Last but definitely not least, a fun RAK from 1Luvnmama! I was so surprised and happy to see a package from mama when I got home from a long, tired day at work. Look at all these goodies! Love all the goodies and I especially love the bag! I am going to have to CASE it! Thank you so much, Mama!

April/May OCS

A big hello to all my wonderful blogging friends! :D

Now that I finally sent my April and May OCS cards out, I can share them. My May OCS partner is Enjoli and here is the card I sent her. Hope you like it, Enjoli.

This one is for my April partner, Janis! I sent this out real late because I couldn't find time to get to the post office. Thanks so much for your patience, Janis! Hope you like it!

I haven't been creating the last couple of days because I was trying to get to bed a little earlier. I have been so tired!

Anyway, gonna get my stuff together for work tomorrow and then off to bed! Have a great one, everyone!

Meljen's Designs: Seeing Spots

Hey, hey! It's time for another fun Meljen's Challenge! This week's theme is SEEING SPOTS! Okay, so I don't' have a lot of spotty patterned papers so I hope the one I used on this card is considered spotty....maybe even the buttons? :D

This week, Melissa is releasing about 14 images, all puppy/dog related! I am not much of a dog person but I sure LOVE this new release! Every image is just too darn cute! Check all of them out at our online store!

For this card, I used Prancing Poodle. She sure is one proud poodle! For some reasons, when I first saw this image, I thought of pink. I think it's because I bought this pink poodle purse for niece when she was around three.

Originally, I was thinking of making a monochromatic card but I couldn't find the right pink to go with my colored image. I think mono tone cards are hard to put together. For me, at least.

I followed the sketch over at CPS. I printed this image a little too big so after checking a few sketch challenges, CPS it is, clean, simple...

Anyway, I do hope you guys can play along with us! Please check out the rest of the DT creations at our blog!

Inky Impressions: F.L.O.W.E.R.S

Hi again! Thanks so much for stopping by again! For my La La Land Post, please scroll down. Thanks!

For the next two weeks, we have a super fun challenge for everyone at Inky Impressions! It’s something I haven’t seen in blogland before! Ready? It’s FLOWERS! But wait! You get to choose two things from the word FLOWERS to add to your creations!

F – faux stitching or Flowers
L – Lace
O – Circles, brads, or pearls
W- Watercoloring
E – Embossing
R – Ripping, Distressing or Tearing
S – Sparkle

Easy peasy?

Okay for my card, I used three things. I used sparkle, distressing and flowers. It’s always to have more than not enough, right? I am loving Nickie's Birdie! Isn't she just the cutest thing?

Does anyone have mojo issues lately? Mine seem to be missing somewhere! I guess my mojo decided to take a mini vacation when I didn’t craft for a few days. I hope she comes back soon! If anyone bumps into her, please tell her I am looking for her! LOL

I will be posting my OCS (for March and April) and a very fun RAK soon! I apologize to the senders for taking me what seems forever to post these wonderful goodies! I totally appreciate everything but sometimes it gets a little hard for me with so much to juggle everyday. I am not complaining…just venting. :D

Oh, which reminds me, I am doing pretty good with organizing and cleaning my craft space! I have been doing a little at a time and it looks a lot neater now. LOL I shall post a few pics of how I organize some of my stuff soon.

Well, my fabulous crafty friends, I do hope you all have a wonderful day! Thank you so much for hanging out with me and I do hope you will come back soon! :D Have a great one!

Tiddly Inks Challenge

I have been seeing lots of adorable Tiddly images so I grab this freebie and play along their challenge this week. This week is a color challenge: yellow, orange, turquoise. Great color combo! I followed the sketch over at Pixie Cottage. Their challenge is to follow the sketch plus distressing. I didn't feel like tearing up the edges so I simply inked up the edges instead.

Lately, I haven't been in the mood to craft much. I think my mojo is gone...missing somewhere. I have a couple of projects I need to finish but not in the mood. I need to finish organizing my craft space but not in the mood. I need to order some sentiment stamps but not in the mood. You know how I love to combine challenges, well...not in the mood. Ohh....

Okay, enough of my rambling. I don't want to bore you guys. Hope everyone is having a better night than I do! Thanks for stopping by!

Some Changes...

Happy Tuesday! Hope everyone's week is going smoothly so far. It's going to be a really busy work week for me because I have a deadline to meet this Friday.

Today's card is for Card Patterns. I used Cowgirl Lili. She's such a darling!

I've decided not to include a list of supplies used on all my creations so if you have any questions or need to know what I used, please email me or leave me a comment. I would be glad to get back to you!

Thanks for taking the time to visit. Have a great day everyone!
