Sparkle Creations Challenge #76: Photo Inspiration

Hello there!!

For the next couple of weeks, we at Sparkle Creations have this pretty, relaxing photo as the challenge! Doesn't this photo make you want to take a vacation? I sure do!

I used Swimming Lucy on my card. Lucy is perfect for this challenge, don't you think?

I used Farmhouse papers by Crate Paper.

I totally did not realize this picture is blurry! I took it late at night a while back. Oh well, too lazy to re-take it now. LOL

Note Holder

Hi! Did everyone have a good weekend? Mine was okay. Sunday was a lazy day. We went to the mall for a little and stayed in for the most part. It rained yesterday.

Here is a note holder I make the end of last year but never got to post. I have a couple of others I need to share by the way. I made it for Sammi's mini magazine, Copicendium. If you got a copy of the Holiday volume, then you probably saw this already. LOL

Monday Fun Day at Farm Fresh Challenge is Anything Goes so I am linking this for it. I used the beautiful, sexy Cheeky from the A Cheeky Xmas set.







This is basically an easel box, by the way. There is nothing fancy to it.

Cranberry Bread Anyone?

Hello! Hope everyone is having a great weekend! It was kind of gloomy today but the sunny eventually came out! It's suppose to rain tomorrow but from the look of it, it's every unlikely. I guess we will find out tomorrow! LOL

Anyway, I decided to do a little baking today. I haven't baked (from scratch) in a long time! My co-worker gave me this yummy raisin bread recipe so I decided to give it a try. I used cranberry instead, by the way.


...about an hour later.... It expanded like two times! LOL

....20 minutes later....fresh from the oven!

...ready to eat! I am pretty happy with the result!

I tried to follow the recipe as close as I can. But in the end, I ended up with three large loaf of bread! LOL The original recipe is in Chinese, in grams. All my recipes are in cups, ounces, tablespoons, teaspoons, so forth...not grams. LOL I actually had to use a kitchen scale to measure my ingredients! My first time ever! LOL

For my first time, I am very happy with it! I will definitely try this again!

Oh, I took these pictures with my phone. Not too bad, eh?

Update on pregnancy...

I am currently at 29 weeks and doing good according to my doctor. I feel great...just have been walking like a penguin, as my hubby put it. LOL My doctor did warn me that I may have an early baby. I am trying hard to take it easy so my baby will born full term. Which means, I am slowly but surely working ahead on my DT assignments. Starting now, I will try my best to pre-schedule my posts for the next couple of months...just because I don't know when I will be out.

I am also doing a lot of running around to get some personal things done before the baby comes. At the same time, I am getting baby stuff ready...mainly little clothes, diapers, organizing kids clothes and make room for the little one..stuff like that. I guess that all kind of adds up since I am still working full time. I plan to work until the very last day, just as I did with my son and daughter.

Anyway, hope everyone is having a great start of the week! As always, I appreciate everyone taking the time to stop by! Have a great one!

Here is my card for Kris! Kris loves blue so I tried my best to incorporate some blue on this card! I used my new My Mind's Eye Miss Caroline Hoody Doody papers. I LOVE LOVE this pad! I know my new year resolution was to spend less on crafty goodies and I really tried hard. But I couldn't resist getting a few new 6x6 paper pads! Okay, well may not just a few. LOL I ordered 14 pads! Plus, I have been getting A LOT OF beads from Michael's! I guess I better try to be good the rest of this year! LOL

Anyway, the mini yo-yo was from Amy! I LOVE these! I just wish I have time to work on some myself! I have the yo-yo maker for like over a year already and I still have open it! I tend to buy a lot of stuff and put them in storage! LOL Are some of you guys like me? hehe

I used my March sketch for this card. If you still haven't heard, I am hosting a monthly sketch challenge on my blog! I started in February. It was a spur of a moment thing. I hope I can keep it up! LOL

We have a couple of new cuties at Sparkle Creations! Yup, it is time for our March previews! Today we are previewing this GORGEOUS Engaged Lucy! Oh yes! Lucy is now engaged! Check out her huge bling!!! :)

I decided to keep this card simple but yet have an elegant feel to it. I used my Martha Stewart border punch for the edges to make this card extra girly. For extra blings, I used lots of diamond stickles.

March 2012 Sketch

Hello!

Can you believe we are in March already? Didn't we just celebrate Christmas? LOL

My daughter is suppose to start pre-school today but she got sick last night! She came down with a fever so we will have to wait until she gets better first.

Well, as promised, I am posting a new sketch on the 1st! Thank you all who played along my February sketch! I truly appreciate everyone's support! Everyone did an amazing job! I love everyone's creations! I visited everyone's blog but I didn't get to comment on all because I couldn't! I am not sure why on some of the blogs, I can't comment!
