Sparkle Creation Challenge: Punch It

Can you believe it's March already??!! Oh my gosh! Where does the time go???

Today is a start of another new challenge over at Sparkle Creations. This week is all about punches. Pretty easy, right?

I bought a few sheets of TPC Studio, So Delish Spice Rack papers a long while back and I am finally putting them to good use. LOL They are perfect to go with Chef Oliver! I followed the sketch over at Sweet Sunday Sketch. Can you tell what punch I used on my card? Bet ya can't tell? LOL I used my 1-inch circle punch and punched out the bowl from the patterned paper. LOL

Well, that's all for now. For more inspiration, please check out my teammates' wonderful creations at Sparkle Creations!

Have a great one, everyone! Thanks for stopping by!

Lollipop Crafts Challenge: Think Spring

Hello! Hope everyone had a great weekend! Mine was just okay. I am still sick with my cold/flu. I am still coughing like crazy with this "sexy" voice. LOL Yeah, you can't even recognize my voice now. It's that bad. I did however had a great time at the Scrapbook Expo on Saturday. I decided to go the last minute so I didn't ask anyone to go with me. Had a great time shopping by myself though. :D

Yeah, I bought a whole bunch of stuff. Mostly papers. Yes, more papers! LOL

Today is another awesome challenge at Lollipop Crafts! Tammy is our hostess this week and the theme is THINK SPRING. All That Scraps has this great sketch so I went ahead and followed it and used one of my already colored CC Designs images.

Hope you all can play along with us this week! For more inspiration, please check out our team's awesome creations at Lollipop Crafts!

Have a wonderful Monday, everyone!

Happy Birthday, Alanna!

Hey there!

Today is our DT Coordinator at Lollipop Crafts, Alanna's birthday! Happy Birthday, Alanna! Wishing the best day ever!

Here is a little birthday card I made in honor of Alanna's birthday. I followed Jen's sketch at Club Anya. This is my first time playing this year. LOL I know, I do things slow, very slow.

This lace flower is by Recollection. I like it a lot so you might be seeing more of these on my creations in the near future. I will most likely make them myself though. I always like to try my hands on stuff that interest me a lot. Besides, it's a lot more cheaper. LOL

The papers I used here are by Basic Grey, Olivia collection. Sentiment is by Papertrey Ink. I colored Anya with Copic. Ooo...I can't wait for the new colors to come out! Did you guys see them?? I will most likely get some next month when I order my refills. Yeah, some of my markers needs refills. Funny I have so many colors but yet I tend to use the same colors over and over again..

Anyway, if you get a moment, please stop my Alanna's blog and leave her some love on her special day!

Thank you all so much for taking the time to stop by! I totally appreciate each and everyone of you.....and your awesome comments too!

Sparkle Creations Challenge #31: Boys Rule

Hello! It's time for our Sparkle Creations challenge! This week is all about BOYS---BOYS RULE! I don't know about you but I always find it difficult to make boy's/masculine cards.

I used Caroling Josh on this card. Sketch is by Card Positioning System. Did you know? Sparkle Creations is sponsoring CPS this week. For double the chance of winning a Sparkle Creations stamp, play along our BOYS RULE challenge along with CPS' sketch!

I used scraps on this card but if I remember correctly, these are Basic Grey papers.

Well, I am keeping this short. I haven't been feeling well this last weekend. I got the cold. :( I am still coughing like crazy. On top of that, everyone in the family is sick as well.

Have a great one, everyone!

Lollipop Crafts Challenge #27

I used Sunflower Smiles on my card. Sketch is by Sweet Sketch Wednesday. Sentiment is by Lily of the Valley.

Last Valentine's Day card for 2011

Hey there!

Things have been pretty crazy with me lately. It's more of family issues. I am slowly adjusting to all the changes though.

I made this card for the Farm Fresh Friday challenge last week at The Greeting Farm. I think this is my first time playing along TGF challenges for 2011! I have been wanting to play along but just couldn't find the time. Time, who really has it, right? LOL

Thank you all so very much for stopping by today! I do hope you guys have a fabulous weekend!

Dreaming of Sunshine and Smiles

That's what I am dreaming of today! It has been gloomy all week here in LA. Well, not too bad. We did get a some wsun here and there.

I just LOVE Capri Marci! She looks so casual here, so carefree and isn't she just the cutest??

Capri Marci is one of the nine La La Land Crafts digis from CHA 2011. For digi lovers, grab her now because she is only available for a limited time. For rubber lovers, no worries! She is in the midst of turning rubber. LOL Stay tuned!

Have a fantastic Friday, everyone!

Sparkle Creations #30: Paper Piecing

Hello!

This week's theme at Sparkle Creations is PAPER PIECING! I haven't paper pieced in a long time. It's a great technique! It saves your a lot of time if you don't have more time to color an image. LOL

I used Charlotte With Rose. I stamped Charlotte three times, twice on K&Company papers and once on PTI cardstock. This is my first time trying PTI cardstock. I love it! It doesn't bleed much and colors blend in pretty nicely. I bought some Copic x-press papers but can't seem to find them now.

Sketch is by Create for Fun. I didn't add a sentiment because I was undecided as to what kind of card I want this to be. I can always add it later.

My teamates have some awesome creations to share! For more inspiration, check them out at our blog!

Sweet Treat Emily

Welcome back to the second day preview/release day at Sparkle Creations! Today we are showcasing SWEET TREAT EMILY!

Well, since I made an apron for my son, I just had to make one for my sweet daughter as well! I bought two aprons at the time . :) For my daughter's apron, I added some lace around it.

Here is a pic of my daughter wearing it. Don't mind her mismatched pj. I had to change her because she pee-ed on herself. LOL Hmmm...I might let my daughter use her apron as a bib. She is a messy eater. LOL

Here is a pic of both my son and my daughter. They LOVE their first apron!

Sparkle is giving away Sweet Treat Emily so for your chance to win her, don't forget to visit the rest of my teammates and then leave a comment at OUR BLOG on the Sweet Treat Emily post. You have until tonight MIDNIGHT EST to comment. Winner will be announced the next day. Don't forget our Valentine's Day sale! You get 15% off your entire purchase from 2/12 to 2/14 with code LOVE15.
Good luck everyone! Have fun!

Doctor Marci is in the House!

yup, she is and isn't she just the cutest little doctor?? She is one of the seven new digis at La La Land Crafts!

Okay, pop quiz! LOL What do you see on my cards over and over lately? RIBBON'S! Recently I bought over 30 rolls of ribbons and I have been using them on almost all of my cards! LOL I went a little crazy when I saw them on sale. LOL

I wanted to used this pretty lavender cardstock but didn't have the patterned papers to go with it. I decided to colored Marci with black and white and not use any patterned papers at all. Pretty cool color combo, huh?

I should probably invest in some lavender patterned papers since this is my fave color. This is such a romantic color!

Well, that's all I have to share today. As always, I appreciate everyone stopping by!

Sparkle Creations Preview: Chef Oliver

It's that time again! We are previewing two new stamps at Sparkle Creations! Today we are showcasing CHEF OLIVER!

I didn't make a card today. Instead, I altered a child's canvas apron which I got from Joanns. I stamped Oliver on the apron with Memento black ink and colored him with Copic. I even personalized it with my son's name!

Here is a pic of my son wearing it! This little guy got itchy red eyes after one week of school. I am thinking it's allergy?

He's playing with his crayons here. Yup, you guess it! He autographed the entire house! Thank goodness for Magic Erasers! Has anyone tried them? Trust me, they are like magic!

Want a chance at winning your very own Chef Oliver? Well, be sure to visit my teamies for more peeks! Sparkle is giving away a Chef Oliver to one lucky person! For your chance to win, you need to comment on all of the designer's blogs, then head on over to the SCRS blog and comment on the Oliver post. You have until midnight EST tonight to comment. Sparkle Creations Challenge #29

Hey there! It's time for our Sparkle Creations challenge! We are on challenge #29 already! Time sure flies by! This week we have this fun simple sketch for you to follow! Sometimes plain and simple is good, right? :)

Here is my take on it using Rin with Snowman. I actually colored this image last year. Well, this certainly come in handy for another Christmas card for 2011! LOL

Hope you guys can play along with us! Thanks so much for stopping by!

Lollipop Crafts Challenge #25

Hi! Hope everyone enjoyed the weekend! I took the whole week off last week so I certainly enjoyed my long weekend! LOL It sure went by fast though! I didn't do much crafting while I was off. I got quite some rest instead. I was going to bed around 9:30-ish. I really needed that!

It has been a week since my son started pre-school. I am not sure if this is normal but it seems like my son is afraid of strangers more than ever, more so than before he started school. Also, he was fine the first couple of days but now he refuses to go! I have to keep reassuring him that I would pick him up after school. Is this normal? Should I be concerned? I am really concerned. I feel like he is stressing out on it. He shouldn't be at this early age, right? Yes, I am stressing out! LOL On top of it all, my mother in law is not helping much. I take him to school and here she is telling me that it's okay for him not to go if he doesn't want to....in front of him! {sigh}

This another fun challenge at Lollipop Crafts! My awesome friend, co-owner of Lollipop Crafts, Kris is our hostess this week. This week's theme? ANYTHING BUT A CARD! This is such a perfect challenge for me now since I do need to crack up some items for Valentine's Day! Our sponsor this week is Meljen's Designs and this cool sentiment is perfect for little treat bags or boxes.

I have always wanted to make a candy purse (I think this is what you call it) so I used one my recycled purse and reduced to 4.5x3.5x2. Yes, I did the template manually so I can have it on file for later use. It uses up a whole 12x12 sheet of paper.

Cardstock is by Bazill. Patterned paper is by Bo Bunny.

Our team has some amazing samples so for more inspiration, please hop over to Lollipop Crafts!

Today, I am sharing this card with Chef Marci! Her cake sure looks yummy! I colored Marci with Copic. I kept the design simple because I want Marci to be the center of attention! This card measures 5 1/2 x 5 1/2.

CHA PIC and Lucky Red Envelopes

Happy Chinese New Year! Well, if you know me or have met me before, then you know I am a little crazy at times. hehe You can get Chinese red envelopes compliment of banks or certain stores, not to mention they are very inexpensive. They are probably less than a dollar for a dozen. LOL Guess what I did for this Chinese New Year? I made my own envelopes! Only Kim, right? LOL I made a total of 64. I used red and hot pink cardstock for them.

Since this year is the Year of the Rabbit, I used my Penny Johnson two bunnies stamp. I stamped it on the cardstock with Versa Mark and then heat embossed it with sparkly gold embossing powder.

Kris, my good friend in Hawaii sent me this adorable Chinese boy stamp for Christmas so I used him here. There is a girl. I think I need to order that one! I embossed this one with sparkly gold embossing powder.

Can you tell I was trying to figure out what embossing powder work best? LOL This one was embossed with "dull" gold powder.

This one was with clear embossing powder.

I am entering this little project for Sentimental Sunday, Chinese New Year. Oh did I mention I met Ann Vento at CHA! We met previously at the Original Rubber Stamp Show last year. I was doing make and takes at the La La Land booth so we didn't get to take a pic together. :(
I finally got a chance to upload some pics from CHA! Yay! I didn't take a lot of pics. :(
I must say, Irina and Eric did a beautiful job with the booth! Doesn't this look amazing? Looked welcoming? La La Land Crafts was the talk of CHA! Everyone was talking about how adorable Marci and Luka are!
I especially love how the samples were framed!

Here is a pic of Leanne, me, and Jen! We looked so cute with our La La Land shirts!

From left to right: Renate, Irina, me, Leanne, and Lisa!

Until next time, have a great one, everyone!

Happy Birthday To You!

Hello!

It has been a crazy week for me! If you haven't noticed, I didn't have a post for my Lollipop Crafts challenge on Monday. I was way too tired from CHA to create! I didn't get my SISTERS card done this last few days either because of my son's doctor's appointment, me getting a root canal, getting my son back the doctor's to check on his TB test, getting him for his first day of school and finally getting ready for Chinese New Year! Yup, LOTS of stuff going on for me!

Surprisingly, I didn't get any side effects on my root canal...and no pain! I just need to schedule an appointment with my dentist for a crown.

I was also surprised at my son! I was all worried about his first day at school! He has never been to a babysitter and he is very shy when I take him out. But according to his teacher, he only cried a little and was fine the rest of the day. Seriously, I was stressing and worrying ALL day on Tuesday! Do I sound like a typical mom? LOL

Anyway, this week at Lollipop Crafts, we have a surprise sponsor! It's Little Miss Muffet Designs! Little Miss Muffet Designs is the newest online digital stamps store with super cool images for all occasions! Guess who is the proud owner?? Our very talented team 1 member, Barbara! Way to go, Barbara! A huge congrats to you, girly! Wish you much success!!

Little Miss Muffet Designs

Barbara was so sweet to give our team, old and new some digis to play with! Thanks a bunch, Barbara!

On my card, I used Birthday Bunny. Total cuteness, don't you think?? I took this pic before the diamond glaze got a chance to dry on the balloons. Can you tell? LOL I worked on this card real late at night and was just too anxious to take the pic. LOL I better let it dry first next time. hehe

Sentiment is by Papertrey Ink, one of my favorite place to order sentiment stamps!

Well, that's all for now! Don't forget to enter our current challenge, SISTERS! Thanks so much for stopping by, everyone!
