Special Challenges

Please click HERE for THE GREETING FARM BLOG HOP! Thank you!

Sparkle Creations is turning one in July and we have a special 1st Anniversary Throwback Challenge that runs all month long!

The challenge is to create a card or project using one of the Original 8 images that Sparkle released one year ago. To refresh your memory, the challenge graphic has a little snippet of each character. They are Charlotte With a Rose, Cocktail Emily, Cupcake Ruby, Lantern Rin, Scooter Chloe, Surfing Oliver, Swimming Lucy and Turntable Josh.

If you don't have these stamps, no problems! hop over to Sparkle Creations blog for details about the special anniversary that is going on!

For my card today, I used Charlotte With Rose. This is my favorite stamp of the original eight.
Papers are by Basic Grey, Origin and a piece of scrap from the Hello Luscious pack. Sketch is by City Crafter Challenge.

On another note, we at Lollipop Crafts are still on our summer break. We will resume our regular challenges with our one year anniversary challenge in August. But for now, we do have a special challenge that runs all month long! The challenge? ANYTHING GOES!

So if you are playing along our special Sparkle Creations Throwback challenge, don't forget to link your card at Lollipop Crafts! Look at that! Two in one! LOL

The Greeting Farm July Release Blog Hop!

WELCOME to the JULY RELEASE event....my first DT blog hop with The Greeting Farm! Today we have not one...not two...but SIX new releases at the Farm and they are all waiting to come to you, rock your creative minds, and quite possibly, even make you blush :)

....and of course, you know what that means! The BIGGER the release? The BIGGER the prize! Can you believe that ONE lucky winner will take home ALL SIX of the new stamps...the ENTIRE July release! That's one BIG prize!

What's more? Well, we are SO excited about our July stamps that we didn't want to stop there! IN ADDITION, one lucky winner will ALSO be randomly chosen to take home the new Blush Society line, that's 4 stamps in all for this month! Both winners will be drawn as a result of completing the Blog Hop and going back to the TGF Blog to leave a comment...so be sure you get your entry in....and hey! Who DOESN'T love a bunch of amazing inspiration on the way!

So today I got another 3D project to share! I think it would be cool to make a minor coloring book since I have some many different TGF images!

I used Babette from the new Blush collection. This mini coloing book is roughly 3 x5 inches. I decorated two pieces of carboard with patterned papers for the front and back cover.

Since this mini book is so small, I didn't want to trouble my Cinch. LOL

For the images, I randomly stamped about 20 different images.

So, yeah! Let's get started...and don't forget to START on the TGF Blog, or head back there in case you get lost along the way :)

The Greeting Farm Preview: Creeper Piper

Hello!

Today we are previewing CREEPER PIPER at the Farm! Creeper Piper will release on Friday, July 1st along with the other AMAZING releases at 12:01 am CST during our DT blog hop.

Besides 3D projects, I love fancy fold cards as well. When I am in the mood or just want to challenge myself, I do try to make them and not just a regular card.

I thought Creeper Piper would look cool in a pocket card. I didn't want to just make a pocket card so I made it a pocket tag card!

This card measures 5 1/2 x 5 1/2. I did a little math and figure out a way to make it a regular size, not just a mini. LOL

As for the coloring, did you know it's hard to color red? Well, at least for me. LOL I always have a hard time getting the right red. I kind of got it now. I used R89, R37, R35, R14, C3, and C5. I know, these are not the usually red you guys are used to. I am odd. hehe

Oh the stick pins...these are my newest creations. Well, stickpins are not new but the style, the beads. I will try to add these to my Etsy store soon.

My Tim Holtz tea dye distress ink is still out on my desk so that was what I used here on this tag!

LOVE this sentiment! So perfect for a pocket card, don't you think? hehe

That's it for me today, but we sure do hope you'll stop by the TGF Blog tomorrow, beginning at 12:01 am CST for our"BLUSHIN' into SUMMERTIME" DT Blog Hop/Release Party. The ENTIRE JULY RELEASE will be up for grabs (and this is One HUGE release!) as well as some prizes and SUR-prises going on around our Facebook page, etc.... we definitely don't want you to miss a single minute of the FUN that we have in store for you, so we can't wait for you to join us then! Don't forget to stop by the Farm Fresh Challenge Blog tomorrow for another awesome "Throwback Challenge" too! As new meets old, there is a TON going on this month on the Farm...thanks for being a part of it and ENJOY the HOT new releases tomorrow...all SIX of them!!!!"

The Craft's Meow July Preview: Life is A Carnival

PLEASE SCROLL DOWN FOR MY THE GREETING FARM POST! THANK YOU!

Today at The Craft's Meow, we are previewing this fun Life is A Carnival set! This set has a lot of images so I was trying to think of a way to showcase most of them and this is what I came up with...A set of tags!

I don't usually make tags but had so much with this set!

First, I made a box for the tags. For the cover, I used the ticket image.

I wanted the tags to look vintagey... viola! I stamped the images onto kraft cardstock with Tim Holtz tea dye distress ink and then embossed them with kaleidoscope transparent embossing powder. You know how much I love sparkly things! I distressed the edges with distressed ink (tea dye) and color box chalk ink (red and dark brown).

So what do you think? Like them? Fun images, don't you think? Want a chance to win your own set? Head over to The Craft's Meow blog and find out how!

I LOVE this set because Oliver and Amelia remind me su much of my kids playing in the pool! My daughter even had a bathing suit similar to Amerlia's! So adorable!

This set comes with three sentiments and of course Oliver and Amerlia! LOL

With that in mind, I created a fun card featuring Amelia! I used this fun paper from my Deja View Soda Pop stack.

This week's challenge over at Sparkle Creations is....RECYCLED ITEM! My recycled buttons come in handle! hehe

I used Street Corner Josh on my card. Sketch is by Crazy for Challenges.

Just checking in....

Hello! Hope everyone is having a great week and ready for the weekend! I know I have been pretty quiet so I thought I'd drop in to give you guys a little update. :)

Even though I haven't been posting much, I have been super busy behind the scene. The end of the month is always the busiest time for me since I need to work on cards/projects for new releases. Some of the projects you will see starting next week. There are some others you will see soon since they are for CHA. I won't be able to share those until after the Summer CHA.

I apologize if I haven't been able to stop by your blog recently. I am hoping I can soon if I haven't already earlier. Kids are going to bed later and later at night so which means I have less crafting time as well. :(

Anyway, thanks to all who stopped by my blog even when I sort of abandoned you guys!

Sparkle Creations Challenge #48

I am so loosing it! I totally forgot to work on my Sparkle card! I rushed to finish this card so the coloring is not all that great, the pic is kind of dark and look, even the stickle on the cupcake is not even dry yet! On top of that, my daughter woke up from her nap while I was taking the pic and guess what she did? She smeared stickle on part of the card! Good thing I caught her so the card is not really damaged!

Anyway, Sparkle Creations is sponsoring Tuesday Morning Sketch this week and here is the sketch to follow, our challenge of the week as well.

I used Cupcake Ruby on this card. I stamped her on kraft paper and colored her with Copic. Papers are from scraps so not sure what company they are by. The charm is by Kimbee's Designs (hehe).

Okay, that's all for now. Thanks so much for stopping by!

More Hairbows

Hey gang!

Hope everyone had a great Father's Day! We didn't really celebrate Father's Day in my family. We only took my FIL for dim sum and I took some flowers to my dad at Rose Hill. Just another ordinary weekend....sort of...

I made some more hair bows and finally got a chance to list them on my Etsy store. Here are a few of them. You know, I like making my crafty stuff but not really into listing them. It's so much work! LOL

This is my FAVE one!!

So from my previous post, my question was how long does it take you to work on a card. It seems like on an average it takes every from anywhere between half an hour to three hours. Yup, it takes about the same time for me! Sometimes I even have to finish my project the next day or two, depending on my mojo and/or I get an interruptions from the kiddies.

Today's Question:
Besides cardmaking, what are your other interests (crafty)?

For You, For You, For You....

Hey.....

I made this card for last week's Mystery Monday at TGF. I used American Crafts papers on this card and I must say, the quality is excellent!

Thank you all who helped me with my little survey on my previous post! It's interesting how much time we really spend on the net.

As for me, I go through each one of your posts on Google Reader. I may not have time to comment as often as I wanted to but I do browse through all your wonderful creations....try to. I usually spend about an hour just "looking" and going through emails....and sometimes I still miss emails! LOL By then it's roughly past 11pm and if I comment, that would mean no crafting for the night.

During the day, especially driving on the way home, sitting in traffic, I try to think of ideas for my next crafty project. Sometimes the idea comes instantly and other times, well, NOTHING! LOL When I do have the idea, that means no commenting for the night. LOL Like tonight because I am posting. LOL

I read all my comments on my phone. Thank goodness for my Iphone! Gotta get a new one though. My phone is soooo old, sooooo slow!!!

Well, this is just a little something on how my night usually goes.

I am kind of liking this question idea, Marie's (owner of TGF) idea...

QUESTION: How long does it take you to make a card, from choosing the papers, coloring, to adding the last finishing touches?

Challenges:
Art Impression Stamps: Buttons and Bows
Southern Girl Challenge: Anything Goes
Delightful Challenge: Anything Goes
Bearly Mine: Anything Goes

For a Good Cause

Hey there!

I have been feeling super lazy these days so I haven't really been crafting. I did manage to work on a few cards for TGF's card drive though. The card drive was posted at TGF blog for a few weeks but I totally lost track of time and days and just barely got these done this past weekend! Talk about procrastination! LOL

This is my fave! I had a hard time parting it! Seriously! But of course, I sent it off knowing this will make someone smile across the miles!

Love this simple card too! I used the sentiment from The Craft's Meow's Just Saying set.

This one is for this week's Mystery Monday challenge at TGF challenge blog.

That's all for now, gang! I am hoping I can get some crafty things done this weekend. I have A LOT on my plate!

Before I go, I want to do a little survey. Can you help?

QUESTION: How many hours do you spend on the computer blogging, surfing, Facebooking? Just curious....thanks! :)
