The Greeting Farm Blog Hop!

Hello! Thank you so much for stopping by my blog!

The Greeting Farm is one of my favorite stamp companies so I just have to join in this fun hop! Although I had wanted so bad to create a project for each of the categories, but I just couldn't find time to finish all! I did get two done though! :)

This first one is for the Santa category. This project was inspired by my daughter's hair clips. My daughter has very thin, fine hair so she uses a lot of clips. It doesn't matter how many clips I used to clip up her hair, she looses them within an hour of two!

Anyway, here is an altered vanity box using the recently released Santa baby from the the Cheeky Xmas set. I sprayed the whole box with shimmer mist so this is very sparkly.

Here are some clips. I used frosted shrink plastic. I usually color shrink plastic with colored pencils but this time, I used Copic. I didn't think it would work but it did! Love it! These are super fun and easy to make!

This project is for the treat category. Recently I noticed my son likes Thomas and Friends. A couple of weeks ago, he came to me with a Toys R Us ad and told he he wanted a Thomas and Friends backpack! I thought that was cute, how he knows what he wants when he's only two. Well, besides the backpack I got him a Thomas and Friends wooden railroad set for Christmas. as well He is going to be so surprised!
Anyway, this project was inspired by that blue train! I had lots of fun making this train but boy was it time consuming! I didn't have a template for it so it was trail and error type of thing. I LOVE how this train turned out!
This train has ten passengers, excluding Mr. Snowman. Here is one side of the train.

Here is the other side of it.

Here is what it looks like once you open the lid to the engine. The part holds the candy is approx. 2.75x2.75x5.

Mr. Snowman in the front!

I used my round nesties and 2-inch circle punch...

Here is what it looks like when you open the box car. More candies.... This train holds about 60-70 mini candy canes.

Well, that's all I have to share today! Hope everyone enjoys looking at my projects! Enjoy the hop!

WOW Kim. I love both of your projects. Great job on them both. I love the box and the skrinkie dinks. I have to find ink that will work for me. Now, as for your son's Thomas and friends, well I just have to smile. My son at the tender age of 2 picked out his very first Thomas video and the he received trains and just about anything you could come up with. He had three metal Thomas's and he would sleep with one in his hand every night without dropping it. The reason I am telling you is because he is now 13 and he may not play with them as much as he used to, but he always loves to see the videos and he still uses the quilt my Dad bought him on his 3rd bday. You did a fantastic job on that train. I hope that you are very proud of yourself as you should be. Hugs, Lisa g

The hairclips are wonderful: stamping, painting, stoving and putting together the hairclips, many little work, but piece of cake; but that train is gold, I can't imaginig myself setting togheter everything... That's what I love of this blog hop... Tons of ideas. Very well done.
Congratulations.
