This is another one of the cards I made over the weekend but didn't get to post until now. This is my take for the challenge at Stamptacular Sunday with "Mums, the Word!" as the theme. This card is for my wonderful mom who work hard all her life (and still working) to provide our everyday needs. I am so so thankful for her.
I simply love the Japanese dolls from Hero Arts. They are so adorable! After I ordered these dolls, I went to Michael's and got some cherry blossom stickers to go with them, to give it a more "Japanese" feel. Do you notice the difference with this card? I didn't use any layering. :) I used 3D mounting tape for the doll since the cherry blossom stickers are 3D. I colored her with my Le plume markers and Sakura glitter pen and added a couple of flower gems.
My friends asked me how do I find the time to craft when I work full time with two little ones (16 1/2 months and 4 1/2 months). I tell you, it's hard! But my little ones make it easy for mommy and daddy. They are super good babies! Plus, I am very very fortunate and grateful for my in-laws and and especially my darling hubby. They help out ALOT!!! Also, I don't mind sacrificing some sleep for my passion of crafting. I can stay up all night! Speaking of crafts, I really need to work on a few of my jewelry. I am so behind on them. Plus the scrapbook, the crochet....man, a lot of stuff to do. Maybe I should do a little of this and that so I can get a bit of everything done.
