Ice Ice Baby Santa

Happy Sunday, Everyone!

First off, I want to wish Lisa, my fellow DT at La La La Crafts, a very Happy Birthday! Happy Birthday, Lisa! Wishing all your dreams come true!

Next, if you came here from TGF or TGF DTs blogs, please check this post and enter for a chance to win Sassy Suzi.

This is the card I made for this week's Mystery Monday challenge, hosted by Kris over at Club Anya. Kris' challenge is ICE ICE BABY. This is a perfect challenge for everyone to make more Christmas cards. :)

For this card, I used Santa Ian. Since I wanted my card to have that "cold" feel, I used all snowflakes and the color blue. For the snowflakes, I used felt and buttons. I always used my snowflake embossing folder. I did paper tearing for the snow hill/slopes and added stickle on it. For the trims on Ian's outfit, I used polar white flower soft. The sentiment is computer generated.

This card is perfect for this month's challenge over at KL Stampin and Scrapin, which is snowflakes. So....I am entering my card. :)

Hope everyone have a fabulous Sunday!

Sassy Suzi Preview and a giveaway!

Happy Saturday, Everyone! I am super duper happy today because I am so honored to be included in previewing Sassy Suzi! Now, if you remember, a few months back I won the Design My Sprout contest with Sassy Suzi. :) Well, I am still super excited over that and today more so because of the preview! Thank you SO SO MUCH, TGF! Thank you all again for voting Sassy Suzi!

When I got the stamp from TGF, I was like "OMG, she is so cute!". hehe I love the new packaging too! Thanks again, Marie!

Besides making a card with Sassy Suzi, I decided to make a little gift bag as well. I didn't follow any patterns so this is pretty much from scratch. It is a pretty good size since I used two sheets of letter size papers for it.

Lately, I am really into this blue and pink combo so....blue and pink combo! :) What do you think? :)

Now you all know TGF is one of the many generous companies out there....there are always so many ways for us to win at the TGF. I am pretty sure most of you have won something here or there. But if you haven't, here is a chance to win one of TGF stamps, courtesy of TGF! Yup, you read it right, leave a comment on this post by Sunday, 8:00pm CST and one lucky winner will receive SASSY SUZI! I will announce the winner on Monday, using RANDOM.org.

Now, for some amazing inspirations, hop over to TGF and check out all the beautiful DT creations!

Card for a young boy

Did everyone wake up super early this morning for all the great deals? I used to before I had my babies. I used to go for the fun of it. Yeah, I am crazy. lol I am always fascinated at how many people actually get up early or stay up Thanksgiving night and wait for the doors to open. It's very interesting to see what people get too!

I went to a few stores this morning...not too early. I got a couple of Christmas presents. At least, I got some shopping done. :) Although I don't have a Cricut but Michael's and Joann's have some great deals on the cartridges. Go check those out if you need some of those. I think the sale ends tomorrow.

I made this card for a little boy. I bought this stamp a few months ago at the Stamp Show. I colored this little fellow a long while ago but never put him in a card. Yup, I sometimes color up a bunch of images and then forget about them. But they are good when I need to make a quickie though. :)

This card is for Cute Card Thursday, which is to make a card for a young boy. This cool sketch is from The Sweetest Thing. Oh, do you see those little frogs? They are brads! I got them at the show as well.

Well, hope everyone likes this card. If you have some time tomorrow, please stop by because I have something very SASSY to show you!

Card Details:
Stamps: Boy with frog (Whipper Snapper Designs), sentiment (Hero Arts)
Ink: Copic, Memento, Cat's Eyes
Paper: DCWV, The Paper Company, GP
Embellishment: brads
Tools/Others: embossing folder

No Patterned Papers!

Happy Thanksgiving, Everyone! Hope everyone is enjoying this wonderful holiday with friends and family!

I want to thank everyone for always stopping by! You are the reason that keeps me going on!

For the Farm Fresh Challenge this week over at TGF, we are to create a project with no patterned papers. Lately, I made a few cards with no patterned papers so I am getting better with this. :) Since I can't use patterned papers, I used a few different embossing folders. I love texture!

I used my new twinkle tots, Madelynn and followed this awesome sketch at The Sweet Stop. She's such a cutie, isn't she? I love this new line! They are so cute that I had to get the entire line! Now, I just need some time to ink them all up!

Well, I got plenty of stuff to do today so I gotta run! Have a great one, Everyone!

Fun, fun La La Weekly Wednesday Challenge!

Hello, Everyone! It's Wednesday and time for another great challenge at La La Land Crafts! Our hostess this week is Maureen! Maureen loves recipe challenges so this week she has a recipe for everyone to follow. She would love to see 3 patterned papers, 2 different colors of cardstocks (one can be a natural), and one type of embellishment. I am not much of a recipe person but putting this card together was a breeze!

For my card, I used Building Snowman Maya. I decided to use sparkly fluff for the snow here. I don't use it too often because it's too messy. But since I got some, I want to use it up.
Well, one more day at work and then I am off. Woohoo! I can't wait! I could really use a couple of days off. I am so tired lately and I haven't been feeling too good. I have this cold since last week and it doesn't seem like I am getting any better. Anyway...

I am entering my card for this challenges:
1.Incy Wincy: Sketch
2. Whimsy Stamps: Christmas
3. Krafty Kimmie: Merry Christmas, Happy Winter
4. Everybody Art: Christmas
5. Papertake Weekly: Christmas Crackers

Card Details:
Stamps: Building Snowman Maya(La La Land Crafts), Sentiment (Hero Arts)
Papers: Not sure as they were given to me
Ink: Memento, Cat's Eyes
Embellishment: gems
Tools/Others: Nesties, border punch, sparkly fluff

Enjoy your day, Everyone! Thanks so much for stopping by!

Ornament Obsessions

WARNING: LONG POST, LOTS OF PICTURES.

Happy Monday, Everyone! Hope everyone had an awesome weekend! Mine went by like a blur! I totally forgot what I did already! My memory is so bad these days...

The Holiday is seriously just around the corner now. I have so much to do and so little time! I am totally behind on so many things!

I probably mentioned on my blog before...I love to make ornaments! Each year, I have a different color theme for Christmas so of course, I made most of my ornaments. Ornaments are expensive and to change colors each year, that's way too much for me!

This year, I am using mostly PINK. Thanks to the challenges over at Inky Impressions and Sautrday Spotlight, I am able to get some more ornaments done! Oh, if you don't know yet, head over to Inky Impressions right now! They are having a DT call and will end soon! You can find all the details here.

On all these ornaments (it's actually only three..hehe), I used Inky Impressions stamps. This first one, I call it ORNAMENT CUBE. This actually did not turn out the way I hoped and expected. I wanted to make a ornament note card cube but because the 12x12 paper is not big enough, I changed it a little. I originally wanted this ornament to open to reveal a set of note cards. But since the paper is not large enough, I sealed all sides and added jingle bells in the box. Yes, when you shake it, you can hear the jingle sound..that's the purpose. hehe

On each side, I used a different Inky stamp. On the top of the box, I made a big flower, sprayed shimmer and added stickle on it.

Notice this side? I lost one of the gems. :(

This one I made with an ornament shaped chipboard. This is super easy to make but doesn't have much dimension.
This last one has a a bit more dimension. I used two wooden hearts on this one. Did I ever tell you guys I love everything that is heart shaped? Yup, I do! I always go for anything HEART first! Yeah, I am crazy! lol
Oh, on this one, I used shrink plastic. This is another one that didn't come out what I had in mind. Rachel came out way too small! So I added some beads to it so that the whole ornament would look more balanced.

Well, that's all for now. I hope everyone enjoy looking at my ornaments. I might be making more of these. :)
As always, I do appreciate everyone stopping by and thank you for leaving me awesome comments! Hope everyone is having a fantastic day!

What a Sweet Couple!

Happy Sunday, Everyone! It's time for another Pile It On challenge! This week's theme is RUB ON and one of my fellow PIO DT, Amy is sponsoring! Woohoo! She was so generous to send some of the girls some goodies for this week's challenge. Thanks again, Amy!

I am not a big fan of rub-ons. As a matter of fact, this is the first time I ever used rub on on my cards. It's cool but I still prefer stamps. :)

I have this Magnolia stamp for like ages and never got a chance to ink it. Plus, I haven't been able to play along Just Magnolia in what seems like years as well. So this is the perfect time! :) I made this card last night at around 11 so the colors on this picture is not too clear. Plus, the flash was not working, the battery was dead! See how dull the color on this picture?

Oh, I don't have a tree stamp so I drew this little tree. I stamped the image first and then drew the tree so that it's like masking using two different stamps! :)

Okay, here are my challenges for this card. I didn't have much time to blog hop last night so I only have three challenges for this one. :(

1. Pile It On: Rub on
2. Roses on Paper: Romance
3. Just Magnolia: Masking

Well, hope everyone is having the day off. Thanks so much for stopping by!

A Bit...or A Lot of Sparkles

Woohoo! Weekend! Yay! Man, it seems like I haven't done a thing this week. Lately, I am hooked on that Taiwanese version of American Idol. It's called Super Idol. It ends at 10 so really, I don't have much time to craft after watching that. It's so addicting!

I think I am kind of unfocused lately. There are so many things I want and need to do but I can't seem get things organized! I think I really need to think everything through and probably have to give up something. I just don't have enough hours in a day to do everything. What to do....hmmm...

Well, for now, come join us at Bee Crafty for another great challenge! :) For the next two weeks, our theme is A BIT OF SPARKLE! An easy one, right? Well, come play along with us!

For this card, I followed the sketch over at ICS. Gosh, I don't remember when was the last time I played along at ICS! I added stickle all other the butterfly and gems on the flowers. Plus, I used pearlescent ink and lightly went over the embossed area to give it a shmmery look.

I haven't really been combining challenges lately so let's see how many I can with this one! :)

2. Stamp Something: Thank you something
3. Du2DS: Glitter
4. Creative Inspiration: Sparkle
5. Cupcake Craft: Digital
6. Flutter By Wednesday: Open theme (butterfly, fairy, angel...)

Hmm...not bad for five! hehe

Hope everyone have an awesome weekend!

Card Details:

Image: Bee Crafty, computer generated sentiment

Paper: The Paper Company

Ink: Copic, Sakura glitter pen, Versa magic

Embellishment: ribbon, gems

Tools/Others: Nesties, stickle, embossing folder

Some Jewelry for a Change

Hey!

I found some time to work on a few bracelets this past weekend. I love making jewelry because I get to see the result in no time! These three were quickies.

I love looking at the bead gallery isle at Michael's and since those beads were 50% a couple of weeks ago, I bought some....not that I really need them. This first one, I used high quality glass beads, freshwater pearls and lavender glass chips, with magnetic closure.

This one is the same as the last one. The only difference is the toggle. On this one, I used a round toggle along with coral cereal beads, real coral chips and AB simi round (donut) crystal beads. The last one I used a heart toggle.

I would love to know what you think of my jewelry so if you stop by and have a few, please leave me a comment. :) I need some ideas for my next jewelry projects. I am thinking of earrings and necklace next. :)

Wild Things Challenge

This week's Farm Fresh Friday is a sketch by Cindy plus using one of Marina's images. I decided to go with Ivy Xmas Tree....very cute image.

I meant to make this card last weekend but got too busy and made it last night, right before the deadline. So as you can see, the coloring on this one is not too good. I was rushing it.

So what I did this last weekend besides the show, meeting with Irina and Lisa? I went car shopping! Nope, no new car yet. But I can tell you this, Audi has the WORST and I mean WORST customer service! The online reviews are totally right on! Oh, I just want to make it clear, it's the PASADENA AUDI DEALERSHIP. They want you to pay for something you haven't even seen! And no, they don't care what the customer thinks, what the customer wants, what are the customers requests. All I asked was that I see the car first before starting the paperwork process and the floor manager went on and asked what's the difference if I see the car first or not, how often do we purchase a car....lots of ridiculous stuff. I am just a working class person, I can't afford to pay for something I never seen. What if I don't like it? Well, after what seemed like hours of nonsense, I told me hubby to get up and we walked out! Yup, I did most of the talking. I got up, thank him, told him to call us when he has the car and walked out! I have never have such bad experience with a manager before. You get so much better service at MB and BMWs.

Anyway, thanks for listening and hope I didn't bore anyone!

I am so THANKFUL for so many things...

Hi, there! I have been quite busy the last few days so I didn't get much crafting done. But I sure don't want to miss this week's extra special challenge we have over at La La Land Crafts! Our theme this week is THANKFUL! I have so many things I am thankful for! I am thankful for EVERYTHING I have!

I want to take this oppotunity to thank Irina for having me in her wonderful team! I am truly thankful and blessed to work with such awesome, talented group of ladies! Thanks, Irina! You are awesome!

Also, I want to thank each and everyone of you for always stopping by, leaving me wonderful, supportive comments. Your encouragements help me become a better stamper, crafter. I truly appreciate it! A big thank you to you all!!

Most of you know that my fav color is PINK. But does anyone actually know that my absolutely FAVORITE color, the color I truly love, is lavender? :) Yup, lavender is my number one choice! I wear a lot of pink so I consider that as my fav most of the time.

So what do you think of my card? :) What do you think of Fairy Lala in lavender/purple? Pretty, romantic, elegant? hehe I followed this awesome sketch over at Stamp Something. Hmm...I am wondering if my card qualifies for Incy Wincy's purple challenge...

We would love to see what you come up with! Please hop over to La La Land Crafts and check out all the details! Oh, since this is a special challenge, Irina is offering some candy! Hurry! Go, go, go!

I almost forgot, I finally got a chance to meet Irina in person! I met with Lisa too! Irina came to LA for the Original Rubber Stamp Convention over the weekend. I met her on Saturday at the show but she was busy doing a make and take at the show so we didn't get to talk much. But we (Lisa, Irina and I) got together on Monday for dinner and we had so much fun chatting! It was like we have known one another for the longest time! Lisa and Irina are so nice and friendly. Plus, they look so much YOUNGER in person!

Here is a picture of us at the restaurant. This is not the greatest picture at all! I look heavier. I don't like that. hehe Well, that's all for now. I shall be back soon to share more of my creations....perhaps some jewelry? :)

What? No patterned papers??!!

Happy Sunday, Everyone! Boy, I have been so busy the last couple of days and will still be the next couple of days! I just want to share my Mystery Monday card before I head over to my sister's for her daughters' birthday party.

This week's Mystery Monday is hosted by Rachel! Rachel wants to challenge everyone to make a card/project with no patterned papers! I know it's difficult for some people and for me as well. I guess if I am asked to make one without it, it's hard. But if I just make it without thinking about the requirements, then I have no problems with it. Anyway, here is my take on the challenge.

I embossed the background cardstock and sanded it so that you can see the snowflakes more, kind of like a patterned paper, don't you think? :) I wanted this card to stay simple so I only added ribbon and buttons. Oh, just in case you are wondering, I colored a few of Miss Anya with these colors a week or so ago. That's why you are still seeing this color combo. I think this is like the 3rd or 4th card with these colors. :) I am trying to use up my scraps as well.

Anyway, gotta get my babies ready for the party. I am running late already.

Car Details:

Stamps: Miss Anya (TGF), Denamidesign sentiment

Paper: Bazzill, Recollection

Ink: Copic

Embellishment: Ribbon, button

Tools/Others: glitter

Thanks so much for stopping! Hope everyone is having a relaxing Sunday!

Lil Miss Poppy

I haven't played Card Positioning System challenges in a loooooong while. When I saw this week's sketch, I just have to find some time to play. I love this simple sketch! It's so classic and so quick to put together! Plus, it's pretty versatile too! You can do so much with it! But lazy me, just followed it as it is. hehe

Card Details:

Stamp: Lil Miss Poppy (Belles n' Whistles)

Paper: K&Company, Recollection

Ink: Versa Magic, Copic, memento

Embellishment: ribbon, gems

Okay, everyone! Gotta run because it's almost 11:00pm here and I want to color a few images before I hit the sack. Plus, I need to get up super early for work tomorrow. Later....and THANKS for stopping by!

Candy Cane Clover

Hello, Everyone! How's everyone's week going so far? Good, I hope!

It's time for another awesome challenge over at La La Land Crafts! Kathy is our hostess this week and she would love to see how creative everyone gets with PUNCHES! Yup, this week's challenge is to use punches or die cuts. Come have fun with us!

Oh, I just have a thought, I am going to see how many Christmas cards I made so far. :) I will let everyone know soon. :) Well, I just added another one to my pile. :) Meet Candy Cane Clover! Cute, huh? You can get it here. I used scallop border punch and oval nesties here. After I was done with my card, I realized I should've used my snowflake punches too..but of course, I didn't as you can see. I used snowflake buttons instead.

How do you like my LO? Like it? Well, I followed the sketch over at Sketch Saturday. When I saw the sketch, I knew immediately that I want to use it to go along with Candy Cane Clover. So...what do you think of my card?

Before I run off and work on something else, I want to let everyone know that Irina at La La Land Crafts with be at the Stamp In The Hand Show (aka The Original Stamp Show) this weekend in Carson, CA! If anyone lives close by, please stop by and say hi! Just look for Irina at the Stamp On Over booth! Irina will be doing a make and take.

I need to make more Thank you cards

second post of the day

Yup, I was organizing my cards and hmm...I don't have that many. I do have a lot of Christmas cards though. :)

I made this card for a few challenges. I started with Inky Impressions' color challenge. I must admit, I am not good with color challenges. I can never find the right colors! I guess because I don't have that many Copics. I'll add that to my Christmas wish list. :)

Here are the challenges my card is for:
1. Card Pattern: the sketch.
2. Inky Impressions: Color challenge: melon mambo, bermuda bay, and chocolate chip. My colors are somewhat similar. :)
3. Pink Elephant: Be Thankful
4. Incy Wincy Designs: a Thank you card

Card Details:

Stamp: Lili's stuffed bunny (Inky Impressions), computer generated sentiment

Paper: Basic Grey, K&Compnay, Bazoll, Recollection

Ink: COpic, Cat's Eyes

Embellishment: Ribbon, gems

Tools/Others: embossing folder

As always, thank you so much for stopping and leaving me awesome comments. I know I have not been visiting everyone and I do apologize for that. I am still adjusting to my new schedule. I will try my best to visit everyone whenever I have a few minutes.

Where The Wild Things Are...

in the woods, of course! I always think it's cool to live in a little cabin in the woods. I just love this scene: a family of four lives in the wood, sitting by the fireplace, telling stories while snowing outside. It's obviously super cold but yet so cozy! This is what I had in mind when I saw this challenge/contest over at TGF. For details and rules, please visit their blog!

Well, one of the rules is we MUST use one of Marina's images. Since the rule DID NOT LIMIT to just her images, I googled a Christmas house and added it on. Plus, I used one of snowman from the Keep Cozy collection. The two other trees are Marina's as well, minus the ornaments of course. I didn't want every single tree to have ornaments.

This is my first time making a stair card. It's quite interesting...and very easy to make. I know most of your stair cards are without the actually card, just the stairs, but I like to have the stairs attached to the card so that I can write on it as well. This card measures 6 1/2 x 5 inches.

For my card, I used Marina's Ivy Xmas Tree and Mistletoe Kiss. These are super adorable images! I popped some of the images so that the card is not too "flat" looking.

Well, hope everyone likes my card and I am off to finish making my challenge card. Hmm...you would think I have plenty of time since I am off for a few days. So not true! My hubby just started a new job and he works on weekends now so I have to keep both of my babies!

Anyway, hope everyone is having a fantastic day!

Card details:
Stamps/Images: Ivy Xmas Tree, Mistletoe Kiss, Keep Cozy, downloaded image, altered Christmas tree (from Marina's Ivy Xmas Tree), Delta (sentiment)
Paper: GP cardstock
Ink: Versa Magic (Sea Breeze), Copic
Tools/Others: Liquid applique, sparkly fluff, crafty sparkles, Sakura while gel pen, stickle
